CO2 tubing

Description

CO2 tubing carries gas from the regulator to the tank. It is sold as a kind of airline tubing, and one title calls it both at once: Aquarium Co2 Proof Tubing, Clear Airline Tubing, Co2 Hose. What they sell it on is pressure. One seller says its CO2 tubing reliably withstands high pressure up to 98.4 psi (7 kg per square cm), and that it will not leak or burst during operation. It is made of polyurethane that offers both rigidity and flexibility, and the seller says it is compatible with most CO2 equipment, including regulators. The second listing uses a different plastic. Boao's tubing adopts transparent PE plastic, which the seller says can withstand high pressure, explosion proof and not easy to tear. It also warns that the PE will have a bit of smell when you get it, and says the smell will disappear after a period of use. The size is the same in both. The first gives an inner diameter of 4 mm and an outer diameter of 6 mm; Boao gives the inner diameter of the cross section of the tube as 4 mm and the outer diameter as 6 mm. Stiffness is the trade-off the first seller names. This high-pressure resistant CO2 tubing is relatively stiff, it says, and for easier connection the buyer should soak the end of the tube in hot water before attaching it. The kit that listing sells also includes a tube cutter and a check valve. The pressure figures are the sellers' own.
