VORESTIC sells a 9.8 inch pair, and its listing says what the curve is for: the long, curved design helps you reach close to the substrate for controlled trimming of aquarium moss, carpet plants, stems, and other aquatic growth. It adds that the curved blades help you find the right angle for shaping moss and trimming thin, soft growth with precise cuts while reducing disturbance to nearby vegetation, substrate, and hardscape. The pair is 420 stainless steel, made for freshwater planted-tank maintenance, and the seller asks buyers to rinse and dry thoroughly after use. It comes with a protective cap that the seller says shields the blades from dirt and damage while reducing the risk of accidental cuts during storage or handling. The same length turns up in the most-rated kits. Capetsma's set lists a 9.8 inch aquatic curved scissor, which it also calls bonsai scissors, and hygger's six-piece kit lists a 9.8 inch pair it describes as curved pruning scissors with thick blades, sharp enough for easy trimming.
