Description
Inert sand is sold for Neocaridina shrimp tanks. CaribSea's Super Natural Moonlight Sand comes in a 5 pound bag. Its listing says it is pH neutral and for use in freshwater aquariums, uses no dyes or paints, and is made in the USA. CaribSea's Super Naturals Crystal River Sand comes in a 10 pound bag and is also sold as pH neutral with no paints or dyes. That listing adds that the smooth grains reduce built-up detritus. A pH-neutral label is a narrower claim than inert. It speaks to pH and says nothing either way about hardness. Both sands are sold for aquariums in general, not specifically for shrimp tanks.
