Seiryu stone is a grey and white patterned rock sold for aquascaping. This row was set up as Seiryu or Ryuoh stone. None of the listings we read sells anything under the Ryuoh name, so the row now carries the one name its sources use. The sellers describe it by look and use. One calls it naturally formed aquarium rock with rugged textures, irregular edges, layered details, and contrasting gray and white patterns, and says it is ideal for aquarium aquascaping, fish tank rock layouts and hardscape designs. It adds that the mixed shapes are easy to stack, angle, or arrange into peaks, slopes, caves, and layered formations. Voulosimi, the most-rated Seiryu listing in our search, gives an estimated rock size of 2 to 12 inches and tells buyers to rinse before use. The question that matters in a planted tank is whether the stone changes the water, and here the sources and this row's own history point different ways. Voulosimi's listing says the stone does not alter pH or water chemistry, and a second seller says Seiryu Stone does not alter water quality. This row's old note said the opposite, that the stone raises GH and KH. That note had no source, and neither seller shows a test, so this page does not settle the question. Seller naming is loose, which is a reason to read any claim about this stone carefully. The listing that says its Seiryu stone does not alter water quality also calls its stones slate rock and natural dragon stone. No source here gives the stone's composition or a measurement of it in water, and this page does not offer one.
